<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and compact card reader/writer equipped with a mechanism for surely preventing an inserted card form being removed carelessly. <P>SOLUTION: In an IC card reader/writer 1, when an IC card 10 is pushed in from a card insertion port 4, a card holder 20 which has accepted the IC card 10 is pushed together with the IC card 10, and moved to its rear end position. When the card holder 20 is moved to the rear end position, a card lock lever 31 is rotated to lock the card holder at the lock position. At the same time, a protrusion 31b for shutter driving of the card lock lever 31 is rotated, and a removal prevention shutter 40 is moved from a retreat position to a removal prevention position, so as to be locked to the removal prevention position. The removal prevention shutter 40 is energized on the retreat position side by a spring 44 so that the removal prevention shutter 40 can be automatically returned to the retreat position side after locking is released. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
