PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can improve productivity while suppressing a change in density.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises an image forming part 101 that executes at least first and second pseudo halftone processing to form patch images for density correction at different timings from each other, and a density detection sensor 117 that detects the density of the patch images formed by the image forming part, and further a controller 300 that determines a correction condition and a gradation correction factor of the maximum density according to a result of detection performed by the density detection sensor. The controller 300 determines the maximum density correction condition from a result of detection based on the patch images formed in the second pseudo halftone processing, and the image forming part forms patch images in the first pseudo halftone processing on the basis of the determined correction condition for the maximum density. The controller 300 determines the gradation correction factor from the result of detection based on the patch images.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
