PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium exhibiting excellent slipping properties in all printing energies to be applied to a heat-resistant slipping layer, and having a small friction difference between in low-energy printing and high-energy printing to reduce printing creases.SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recording medium includes: at least a base material 46; an undercoat layer 44 and a dye layer 42 provided on one surface of the base material 46; and the heat-resistant slipping layer 48 provided on the other surface of the base material 46. The undercoat layer 44 contains at least a water-soluble polymer and a vinylpyrrolidone vinyl caprolactam copolymer. The heat-resistant slipping layer 48 contains at least two kinds of lubricants with different melting points, and a coefficient of static friction in an environment at 25-100°C is set to 0.4 or less. |
