In a position detecting device including a terminal, a plurality of wireless connection devices, a position detecting server (50), and a branch exchange, the terminal measures propagation intensities of radio waves from the plurality of wireless connection devices and transmits, to the position detecting server, the measured result through the wireless connection devices and the branch exchange. The position detecting server (50) receives the measured result, and estimates the position of the terminal on the basis of position information for the plurality of wireless connection devices and the measured result. The plurality of wireless connection devices may have a first wireless connection device which is wirelessly connected to the terminal and has a phone function, and a second wireless connection device which is wirelessly connected to the terminal and does not have a phone function. In addition, the position detecting server (50) may estimate the position in a vertical direction of the terminal on the basis of the received measured result, the propagation intensities from the plurality of wireless connection devices that have been measured in advance at a prescribed position, and position information for the prescribed position in the vertical direction. |
