PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the adjustment by a method wherein an engaging body which is fixed to a rotating shaft, and a detachable body which can detachably engage with the engaging body are provided, and an adjustment of an oval motion track of feeding teeth is performed by releasing the engagement with the engaging body by depressing the detachable body while resisting an elastic body. SOLUTION: When the oval motion track of feeding teeth 8 is adjusted, first, a sewing machine is stopped, and by depressing a detachable body 16 while resisting a twist coil spring 23, an engagement between an engaging body 20 and the detachable body 16 is released from a state wherein a ratchet 18 of the detachable body 16 and a ratchet gear 22 of the engaging body 20 are engaged with the twist coil spring 23. Then, an adjusting body 12 is slightly turned, or a vertical feed rod 3 is slightly turned by turning the spindle of the sewing machine, and the phase of an eccentric cam 4 of the adjusting body 12 to a horizontal feed rod 1, is changed. Then, by releasing the downward pressing of the detachable body 16, the adjusting body 12 is raised by the elastic force of the twist coil spring 23, and the detachable body 16 and the engaging body 20 are engaged again.
