Railway train configuration data set generation method identifies different waggon types from their measured axle spacings

The method provides a data set (D) identifying the waggon types (T2,W1,W6) in the railway train (10) and their relative positions, by measuring the axle spacings (M1',..M11') between their wheel axles and comparing the measured values (M1,..M11) with stored axle spacing values typifying different waggon types, accounting for the front and rear overhang values of the different waggon types. An Independent claim for a data set generation device is also included.
