A plasma display apparatus is provided to prevent rupture of a plasma panel due to external force by forming a support structure on a chassis base which contacts a rear surface of the plasma panel. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma panel consisting of a front panel(22) and a rear panel(24), a chassis base(40) supporting the plasma panel, and a drive circuit(60) having a circuit board disposed on a rear surface of the chassis base. The chassis base is made of a plastic material, and has a support structure for supporting the plasma panel at a front surface of the chassis base. The support structure has plural bosses formed on the front surface of the chassis base at regular intervals.
