<p>An access device based IPv6 edge router based IPv6 and method thereof for stateless address configuring to IPv6 user device in Ethernet. Wherein, the access device adds the relay agent ID representing itself and the corresponding port identifier representing the user device into the router solicitation message sent from the user device in the manner of newly defining the option, and forwards it to corresponding edge router; and the edge router configures a dedicated address prefix for user device according to the relay agent ID and the port identifier, and combines the dedicated address prefix with the relay ID and the port identifier as a router response message, transmits it to corresponding access device represented by the relay ID; the access device transmits the router advertisement message containing merely the address prefix to the user device via the line port indicated by the port identifier. The invention implements IPv6 stateless address configuration by allocating dedicated address prefix for each data user line in order to serve IPv6, thereby it solves the problem of security and scalability in related art.</p> |
