The self-aligning bearing seat system includes a self-aligning bearing seat (46) including a first assembly and a second assembly, and an interface defined between the first assembly and the second assembly, the self-aligning bearing seat positioned to substantially circumscribe a shaft (30), such that when the shaft experiences misalignment the interface accommodates misalignment of the shaft.
