<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently perform added value display of grainy noise addition, resolution enhancement, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A game machine 210 and a television receiver 250 are connected through an HDMI cable 351. Together with main-part image data of a game, a movie, etc., added value image data for added value of display of grainy noise addition, resolution enhancement, etc., are sent from the game machine 210 to the television receiver 250. In this case, the main-part image data (MPEG data) are sent in IP packets using a high-speed data line, and the added value image data are sent using a TMDS channel of an HDMI. The television receiver 250 performs image display based upon the main-part image data and added value image data. Image processing resources of the game machine 210 can be effectively used. Further, added value exceeding standards can be obtained without being limited to the bandwidth etc., of a transmission line.
