PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods of detecting carbapenemase genes in biogenic samples.SOLUTION: A detection method comprises the steps of: carrying out an amplification reaction in the presence of a nucleic acid template from the biological sample and primers (the primers are 15 to 50 nucleotides long and have at least part or comprise a nucleotide sequence selected from the group comprising a specific sequence, or a modified sequence thereof); analyzing the dissociation curves of the products, and determining the presence of one or more of KPC, OXA-48, VIM, GES, and/or IMP genes or their subvariants responsible of carbapenem resistance indicating that the biological sample comprises carbapenemase genes causing carbapenem resistance in bacteria.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
