Aspects of the present invention relate to facilitating remote expert consultation using a web site that provides for video conferencing between clients and experts who are have been vetted through registration in the system. Some aspects relate to transmission of correlated physiological characteristic data simultaneously with a video conference. Some aspects relate to control of conferencing functions through client and expert web pages.

1. A method for remote consultation, said method comprising:
configuring a data sensor to sense a user's characteristics,
wherein said sensor is in sensing range of the user and is communicatively connected through a network, to an expert services platform;entering a virtual waiting room web page facilitated by said expert services platform thereby indicating a readiness to start a healthcare consultation;commencing a healthcare consultation session;transmitting audio communication between said user and said health profession expert;transmitting video of said user from said user computing device to said expert;transmitting data from said user to said expert; andreceiving, at said user computing device, healthcare advice from said health profession expert, said advice being based on an analysis of said physiological characteristic data and said asynchronous and synchronous video communication, and said asynchronous and synchronous audio communication and other information gathered.
