Disclosed is a damping valve mechanism (3) comprising a housing (17) inside which an actuator (19) applies an adjusting movement to a valve body (49) and a restoring spring (63) counteracts the adjusting movement; the valve body in a supporting peg (37) controls a bypass (45) to a damping valve (7) and is connected to a base (33) of the housing, the restoring spring being arranged in the supporting peg.
