PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a maximum bloodstream speed position and a maximum bloodstream velocity value visibly to an operator by providing a means to specify a point where the maximum velocity of bloodstream is obtained and to display a mark indicating a sampling line of a Doppler mensuration and the position of the maximum bloodstream speed on the screen of a display monitor. SOLUTION: A judgment section 14 counts the frequency of aliasing and records the frequency together with a sampling point setting signal from a sampling point control section 12 in a memory section 13 when the frequency becomes a maximum. The judgment section 14 processes also a received signal at the next sampling point set with a sampling point signal taking-in section 11 and repeats the same process until a sampling point to be set becomes the deepest portion. Then, a sampling point having the maximum value of the frequency of aliasing recorded in the memory 13 is judged as the position of a maximum bloodstream velocity. A signal judging this position regarded as the maximum bloodstream velocity is sent to a display section 7 with a control section 10, and displays a mark indicating the position of the maximum bloodstream speed on the sampling line 16 of the continuous wave Doppler measurement of a television monitor 8.
