The invention relates to a ribbon for a ribbon saw, a ribbon saw with an inventive ribbon and individual elements (1) of an inventive ribbon for a saw. One major disadvantage of previous ribbon saws is that a defect in a ribbon, e.g. a broken tooth, means that the entire ribbon has to be changed. The aim of the invention is to create a ribbon saw with a ribbon which has a higher average service life at a comparatively low cost, enabling the advantages of ribbon sawing to be felt. This is achieved by means of a ribbon of the above-mentioned variety, wherein the ribbon is comprised of individual interconnected elements (1) arranged in the direction of movement. The invention also relates to individual members of the inventive ribbon and a ribbon saw provided with one such inventive ribbon. The major advantage of the inventive ribbon is that it can be dismantled into individual elements (1) .
