PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for fishing which does not give loads to an attachment base, even when pulled in any direction and prevents a fishing rod from vigorously standing up due to the weight of a reel, even when a ship is heavily shaken. SOLUTION: This holder for fishing comprising an attachment base capable of being fixed to the edge of a ship, and a holder main body vertically movably holding a fishing rod and capable of fixing a reel separately from the fishing rod is characterized by connecting the holder to the attachment base in a relatively horizontally rotatable state. A receiving portion for holding the fishing rod in a laid-down state, and a supporting portion for holding the fishing rod in a standing state are disposed in the holder main body. The supporting portion is disposed in a foldable state. A support pipe is inserted into a hollow cylindrical sleeve to connect the holder main body to the attachment base, and a slip-off stopping bolt to be forward moved to or backward moved from the support pipe is disposed in the sleeve.
