PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a grounding course to the ground in a metallic shell simple and easy, and sure and superior in durability about a connector housing structure regarding an electric connector with a lock nut. SOLUTION: In the electric connector having the nut for a fitting lock in a nut housing part 3d of a housing 3 and having the metallic shell 4 to cover one part of the outer surface of the connector housing, this is the electric connector 1 with the lock nut in which the nut housing part 3d is a recessed part in which an opening part is opened in the upper part in the vertical direction and which has a depth of the nut being totally immersed, in which a through hole 3e for a screw is drilled and installed in an anteroposterior direction perpendicular to a housing direction which is the vertical direction of the nut housing part, in which the through hole 3f for a shell piece conduction is installed at the upper position and in the front/rear direction of the through hole, and in which one part of the shell 4 is inserted into the through hole for the shell piece conduction, and formed in the shell piece 4d to carry out fall-off prevention and conduction by contacting with the upper part of the nut 2 housed in the nut housing part.
