Alkoxymethylyl substituted benzoic acid derivatives (I), are new. Alkoxymethylyl substituted benzoic acid derivatives of formula (I) and their salts and solvates, are new. R 1H, 1-6C alkyl, O-(1-2C)-alkyl, 1-6C-alkylmercapto, trifluoromethoxy, trifluoromethylmercapto, F, CF3, phenyl or phenoxy; R 2H, 1-3C-alkoxy, 1-3C-alkyl, CF 3 or trifluoromethoxy, or R 1+R 2phenyl ring condensed with naphthyl; R 3H, 1-6C-alkyl, phenyl or cyclohexyl; R 6H or 1-6C alkyl; n : 0 or 1, and m : 1 or 2, provided that: (1) R 4 and R 5 are H when m is 1 or 2; (2) R 4 and R 5 are CH 3 when m is 1; (3) X is CH when n is 1, or (4) X is S when n is 0. Independent claims are included for: (1) a medicament comprising (I); and (2) a preparation of the medicament which comprises mixing (I) with a carrier and administering the mixture.
