The belt buckle (1`) has a base (2`) with a holding unit (3`) for holding a component part (4`) e.g. electronic watch. Connecting areas are provided for connecting the buckle with a belt, where the holding unit is connected with the base via a sliding tilting mechanism (7`) that enables movement of the holding unit. The tilting mechanism enables a translatory movement and a rotary movement of the holding unit relative to the base in spatial axis.
