The present invention addresses the problem of further shortening an axial-direction dimension of a piston pump, and also reducing piston machining labor and machining costs. A piston pump provided with a piston (5) of which one end faces a pump chamber (4), an eccentric cam (6) for driving the piston, a coil spring (7) for returning the advanced piston, an intake valve (8) provided to an intake channel for brake fluid heading to the pump chamber (4), and a discharge valve (9) provided to a discharge channel for brake fluid from the pump chamber, wherein a recess groove (15) is provided to an inner surface of a cylinder hole (3a) to communicate the intake channel with the pump chamber (4) via the recess groove, the depth of the recess groove (15) is less than the wire diameter of the coil spring (7), and the piston (5) does not have a spring-position-restricting part provided to the end surface thereof. |
