PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink for forming an electrode catalyst layer, capable of inexpensively and efficiently forming a high performance electrode catalyst layer.SOLUTION: Ink for forming an electrode catalyst layer of the present invention includes an electrode catalyst, an electron conductive material, a proton conductive material and a solvent. The electrode catalyst includes a transition metal element, carbon, nitrogen and oxygen, as constituent elements, and, when the atomicity ratio of each of the elements is represented as 1:x:y:z, 0.5<x≤7, 0.01<y≤2 and 0.1<z≤3 are satisfied. A mass ratio (A/B) between a content A of the electrode catalyst and a content B of the electron conductive material is 1 or more and 6 or less, and a mass ratio (D/C) between a content D of the proton conductive material and the total content C of the electrode catalyst and the electron conductive material is 0.1 or more and 0.9 or less. |
