The invention relates to a method of communicating between a plurality of nodes (N1-N6), the nodes being organized according to a ring (1), said ring being furnished with transmission resources at least one of which is a resource, termed the monitoring resource, dedicated to the transmission of monitoring information and associated with at least one transmission resource, said method comprising the following step implemented by a node of the ring: a step of receiving at least one item of information pertaining to a reservation of a transmission window for the transmission resource received on the associated monitoring resource. The method furthermore comprises, if the transmission window is reserved by another node of the ring: a step of comparing volumes of reservations of resources of the ring respectively performed by the node and the other node during a reference period; a step of preempting said reservation of the transmission window as a function of the result of the comparison step.
