PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image in an appropriate density by removing a harmful influence attributed to excessive toner supplied to a development unit from a toner storage container rotated for confirmation of the attachment thereof.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 200 includes: a development unit 5 that develops an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor; a development unit drive motor 605 that drives a drive part of the development unit 5; an attachment part 30 for attachment of a toner bottle 20 which supplies toner to the development unit 5; a drive motor 60 that rotates the toner bottle 20 attached to the attachment part 30; a rotation detection sensor 203 that outputs a prescribed signal according to a rotation state of the toner bottle 20; a determination part 301 that determines whether or not the toner bottle 20 is attached to the attachment part 30 according to whether or not the prescribed signal is output from the rotation detection sensor 203; and a control part 301 that drives a screw of the development unit 5 for a prescribed period of time by controlling the development unit drive motor 605 when the toner bottle 20 is determined to be attached to the attachment part 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
