PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method of a glass plate excellent in productivity.SOLUTION: A cutting method of a glass plate includes a step for forming scribe lines 31 and 32 on a first principal face 11 and a second principal face 12 of a glass plate 10 respectively by scanning a laser beam 20 while penetrating the laser beam 20 from the first principal face 11 to the second principal face 12. The laser beam 20 scans while areas 40a, 40b deviated from a scanning path of the laser beam 20 are cooled behind the scanning laser beam 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
