PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air separation plant for separating at least oxygen from raw material air and capable of manufacturing low pressure product oxygen, and a method for manufacturing at least oxygen from the raw material air under application of the air separation plant.SOLUTION: This invention provides an air separation plant comprising an air compressor, a main heat exchanger, a high pressure rectification column, a low pressure rectification column, a liquid air storage tank, a liquid oxygen storage tank, a first passage for supplying the compressed air compressed by the air compressor to the high pressure rectification column through the main heat exchanger, and a second passage taking out liquid oxygen taken out of the low pressure rectification column through the liquid oxygen storage tank and the main heat exchanger as the product oxygen. The first passage is provided with a first flow rate adjusting valve at a downstream side of the air compressor, the first passage is branched at the downstream side of the air compressor and at the upstream side of the first flow rate adjusting valve, the branched passage is connected to the high pressure rectification column through the liquid air storage tank and the second flow rate adjusting valve, and the branch passage is not provided with a pressure increased air compressor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
