PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry type horizontal cutting machine capable of improving work efficiency by suppressing dust from scattering without producing contaminated water when making a cut extending in a horizontal direction in a side wall of a gutter.SOLUTION: A dry type horizontal cutting machine 1 comprises: a cutter 30 having a blade 32 which is formed circularly and makes a cut in a side wall 51 by having a peripheral edge made to abut on the side wall 51 in a rotating state to be inserted into the side wall 51 while grinding a gutter 50; and a base 20 which holds the cutter 30 slidably in a horizontal direction with the blade 32 held horizontally. The cutter 30 has a cover 33 which covers a part of a peripheral edge of the blade 32, and the cover 33 covers a part, which is not inserted into the side wall 51, of the peripheral edge of the blade 32 from nearby the side wall 51 with the blade 32 inserted into the side wall 51, and further comprises a suction part 40 which is connected to the cover 33 and sucks dust produced to scatter in the cover 33 as the blade 32 grinds the side groove 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
