The present invention relates to a weft insertion nozzle for a water jet loom that has excellent focusing properties and is capable of a significant reduction in the amount of water use by causing little injection water diffusion by preventing a turbulent flow in the nozzle. An orifice portion (20a1) for injection water injection is positioned near a tip end of a nozzle portion of a thread introduction pipe (20b). A first annular water path (22) is formed near the nozzle portion of the thread introduction pipe (20b) on an upstream side of the orifice portion. A second annular water path (24) is formed outside the first annular water path, away from the first annular water path across an annular partition wall. A plurality of water supply ports (23) are formed, at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction, on an upstream side of the annular partition wall between the two water paths.
