A container for bare rooted plants or seedlings constructed of biodegradable material such as pulp paper or coir, which will rapidly decompose when buried in soil or media, also containing an appropriate range of additives such as bacteria, fertilizers, fungicides and so on which nourish the plant during establishment and assist in subsequent growth. A bare rooted plant or seedling is inserted into the container with the two sides wrapping around the plant stem to bind the seedling in the container which is immersed in water, allowing the container and the plant or seedling to absorb as much water as possible. After absorbing the maximum amount of liquid, the container and plant or seedling can then be mechanically planted through conventional planting methods by hand or using commercially available equipment |
