PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal print head, capable of providing an excellent quality of picture, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In a thermal head, equipped with a heat radiating substrate 11 and a resistor substrate 16 having a plurality of resistor elements 16b provided with a heat generating part and formed thereon, arranged on the heat radiating substrate 11, a gel 13, interposed between the heat radiating substrate 11 in the first area including the immediately lower part of a heat generating part, and the resistor substrate 16, and a pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tape 14, interposed between the second area of the heat radiating substrate 11, different from the first area, and the resistor substrate 16, are provided.
