PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smartphone that can detect the position of touch on a touch screen and the magnitude of touch pressure as well.SOLUTION: A smartphone includes: a cover layer; an LCD panel that is located below the cover layer, has a liquid crystal layer and a first glass layer and a second glass layer located sandwiching the liquid crystal layer, and has a capacitance type touch sensor sensing touch at least partially located between the first glass layer and second glass layer; a backlight unit that is located below the LCD panel; pressure electrodes 450 and 460 that are located below the backlight unit. The touch sensor includes a plurality of drive electrodes and a plurality of reception electrodes; a drive signal is applied to the touch sensor; the position of touch can be detected from a sensing signal output from the touch sensor; the magnitude of touch pressure can be detected on the basis of the amount of change in capacitance output from the pressure electrodes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6e |
