A system, method, and apparatus according to various embodiments are disclosed herein to enable a signal in space scheme to have improved signal penetration within buildings and other attenuated environments. The disclosed enhanced signal delivery method transmits multiple bursts in a successive pattern that is known by a receiver on the ground. This successive transmission pattern of bursts effectively creates a longer correlation sequence that allows a receiver to more readily be able to pull the signal out of the noise and, thus, allows a receiver located in a more stringent, attenuated environment to receive a signal where it previously was unable to do so. |

1. A method for signal encoding, the method comprising:
transmitting, with at least one transmission source, separate burst signals separated by at least one time interval, wherein each of the burst signals includes more than one transmit bit transmitted on a respective frequency associated with each of the burst signals, wherein each of at least one information bit is encoded to correspond to a specific predetermined sequence of the more than one transmit bit; wherein each of the burst signals corresponds to one of the at least one information bit, receiving, with at least one receiving source, the burst signals; appending, with at least one processor, the burst signals to create a super burst signal, which provides a stronger code processing gain than provided by one of the burst signals; and processing, with the at least one processor, the more than one transmit bit from the super burst signal to obtain the at least one information bit. |
