COMPONENTS MOUNTING APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF

An apparatus and a method for mounting parts are provided to move plural heads of gantries while an LCD panel is fixed to reduce foot print, and perform previous bonding operations using the heads at the same time to decrease the tack time by 50%. A feeder unit(120) is installed at one side of a base substrate(100) to supply a plurality of component parts in a row direction. An X-axis gantry(130) and Y-axis gantries(140,142) are installed above the base substrate to be movable in an X direction and a Y direction, respectively. Heads(150,152) are respectively installed at the Y-axis gantries. Vision cameras(160,162) align parts cut by the heads. Transfer units(310,320) transfer an LCD panel. A Y-axis transfer(400) transfers the LCD panel to a preliminary bonding position.
