PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of an outdoor unit of an air conditioner which enables the safe removal of a front cover and also increases the strength of the outdoor unit. SOLUTION: A compressor, a heat exchanger, and an electric part box are contained in the outdoor unit. The front cover halved into an upper part and a lower part is attached to the front surface of the body of the outdoor unit. The front cover is formed in an L-shape in cross section extending up to the side surface, and has an elongated recess near the corner of the side surface. The recess can provide strength to the steel sheet of the front cover. Since the recess can be used as a handle, the upper front cover can be removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
