PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery single cell that suppresses degradation of sealing performance.SOLUTION: In a fuel battery single cell 1 comprising a plate-like power generation body 2, a first separator disposed on one surface of the power generation body 2, a second separator disposed on the other surface of the power generation body 2, a gas flow passage for first reaction gas which is formed by one surface of a membrane electrode joint body 5 and the back surface of the first separator, an introduction passage 17 for introducing the first reaction gas supplied to a gas supply manifold to the gas flow passage, and an exhaust passage 18 for exhausting the first reaction gas introduced to the gas flow passage to the gas exhaust manifold, at least a part of an elastically deformable seal projecting portion 35 for the first reaction gas which contacts the surface of the second separator is formed in the first separator on the exhaust passage 18, and a water absorption passage 21 for absorbing water component in the exhaust passage 18 of a portion which intercommunicates with the exhaust passage 18 and is located at the back surface of the seal projection portion 35 by capillary phenomenon is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
