A power conversion device (100) is provided with: a positive side arm (5) and a negative side arm (6) configured by connecting a plurality of converter cells (10) in series, each of which is constituted of pluralities of semiconductor switching elements (30, 40) and DC capacitors (34, 44); and a control circuit (20). An arm balance control unit (27) in the control circuit (20) computes a first voltage adjustment value ΔVc for balancing voltage (Vcpp) of the DC capacitors (34, 44) in the positive side arm (5) and voltage (Vcpn) of the DC capacitors (34, 44) in the negative side arm (6). The control circuit (20) adjusts an AC control instruction (Vcp) by using the first voltage adjustment value (ΔVc) and computes an AC voltage instruction (Vacp) of an AC voltage to be output to each phase AC line. |
