In an embodiment, an electrolyzed water-generating device is provided with a generating container 12 for holding water and an electrode unit 16 disposed inside the generating container. The electrode unit is provided with: an electrolyte solution chamber 22 for holding an electrolyte solution; a generating chamber 44 in which an electrode 54 is provided and which is in communication with the inside of the generating container; a water-permeable diaphragm 50b for partitioning the electrolyte solution chamber from the generating chamber; and an introduction path 26, which extends from the electrolyte solution chamber to a position higher than the surface of water inside the generating container and said generating chamber, and in which an electrolyte solution is filled to form the surface of the electrolyte solution at a position higher than the water surface in the generating container.
