The present invention pertains to a signal processing device and method and a program, with which it is possible to suppress reductions in reception sensitivity. In the present invention, in cases in which, on the basis of carrier sense results, a frequency band is open, a data frame is transmitted on the frequency band as a wireless signal, and when the data frame has been transmitted a prescribed number of times within a first time period, a synchronous frame formed from prescribed information differing from the data frame is transmitted on the frequency band as a wireless signal. Additionally, when the synchronous frame is detected, the data frame is detected from among the reception signal for a prescribed time period prior to the synchronous frame. The present invention can be applied, for example, to signal processing devices, information processing devices, signal transmitting devices, signal receiving devices, signal transceiving devices, communication devices, electronic devices, computers, programs, recording media, and systems. |
