PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric brake device capable of reducing influences upon a vehicle behavior and accurately estimating a motor coil temperature when detecting the motor coil temperature.SOLUTION: A control device 2 for an electric brake device DB comprises hysteresis estimation function means 24 for estimating a hysteresis property having a reaction based on positive efficiency in an operation that increases a brake force and a reaction based on negative efficiency in an operation that decreases the brake force regarding the reaction of a pressure of a direct-acting mechanism 6 during drive of an electric motor 4. The control device further comprises: static condition construction means 25 for constructing a static condition by applying a current corresponding to a gap between a positive efficiency side and a negative efficiency side of the hysteresis property to the electric motor 4 just for a determined time; and a coil temperature estimator 19 for estimating a coil temperature in the electric motor 4 in accordance with the determined condition based on a relation between a voltage of the electric motor 4 and a current that is estimated by a current sensor 22 after the lapse of the determined time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
