PURPOSE: An apparatus for operating an ink jet printer used for manufacturing a display device is provided to compensate for a difference of voltage between heads by using an array resistance. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for operating an ink jet printer for manufacturing a display device includes a timing control unit(10) for outputting a timing control signal according to a predetermined signal inputted thereto from an exterior. A head driving unit(20) receives the timing control signal outputted from the timing control unit(10) and a predetermined voltage and outputs a driving pulse according to a voltage level inputted thereto. An array resistance(30) receives the driving pulse outputted from the head driving unit(20) and outputs a signal having a predetermined voltage to a head.
