<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means of suppressing consumption of its battery due to application software termination processing to be executed by a virtual machine function but left unprocessed. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile terminal 20 such as a mobile phone is provided with a touch sensor section 22 capable of sensing a contact of a user with the terminal, when a contact signal from the touch sensor section 22 is outputted to a control section 21, it is discriminated that the mobile terminal 20 is used by the user, and when a non-contact signal is outputted, it is discriminated that the mobile terminal 20 is not used at present. When an application software program is executed on the mobile terminal 20 and the non-contact signal is outputted from the touch sensor section 22, the control section 21 temporarily interrupts execution of the application software program during the execution so as to suppress the power consumption of the mobile terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
