A device for supporting and actuating a facing head including: a body (3) provided with an attachment device (4) for the detachable mounting of the device on a machine tool, a tie rod (24) moving axially in the body (3) for the operational actuation of the facing head, a duct (5) supplying a pressurised lubricating and cooling fluid to the body (3), a first cylinder and piston single-chamber actuator (8) housed in the body (3) and acting on the tie rod (24) for the actuation of the latter, the supply duct being connected to the single chamber of the first actuator for the pressurisation thereof, a second cylinder and piston actuator (15) housed in the body coaxially with respect to the latter and the first actuator, the respective cylinders and pistons of these actuators being made axially rigid with other another, the first actuator being disposed in the body, with respect to the second actuator, on the side closest to the attachment device, resilient means (26) acting between the body and at least one of the pistons in order to recall these pistons into a first position, two chambers (21, 22) included in the second actuator, preloaded with a hydraulic fluid, separate from the corresponding piston and mutually communicating via at least one duct extending into the body valve means (37) in at least the one duct adapted to regulate the flow of hydraulic fluid transferred between the chambers. |
