PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can make an accurate calibration in less labor and time and a recording device applying its method. SOLUTION: A plurality of patches with different gradient values based on achromatic color (K) data and a plurality of patches with different gradient values based on chromatic color(CMY) are recorded. Those patches are colorimetrically measured for the chromatic color and achromatic color respectively. Then, the calibration table for chromatic color and calibration table for achromatic color are separately prepared, and the calibration is made. Whereby, comparing with the calibration of CMYK, recording media, color material, and user's labor can be reduced, then more accurate calibration can be carried out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
