PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene copolymer flame retardant material capable of being suitably used for uses requiring flame retardancy in film, sheet or the like, while maintaining preferable physical properties inherent in an ethylene copolymer. SOLUTION: This flame retardant resin material comprises 100 pts.wt. of (A) a potassium ionomer of an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer and at least 0.1 pt.wt. of (B) water.
