PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test kit for an antibody or antibody titer against periodontal disease-causing bacteria in a blood sample, which is capable of examining periodontal diseases of patients having a wide range of immunological types with high accuracy, and which can be processed at a high speed with an automated device; to provide a periodontal disease-causing bacteria antigen protein which is suitable for use in the kit; and to provide a method for determining the presence of an antibody or the antibody titer in a blood sample using the kit.SOLUTION: The combination of particular periodontal disease-causing bacteria (Porphyromonas gingivalis strain) protein specifically reacts with a plasma antibody in the blood sample separated from a patient with periodontitis. In such disease-causing bacteria protein, the modified polypeptide combination comprising a specific amino acid sequence is used selectively.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
