PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a catalyst with durability having high activity and in which the elution of catalyst metals is suppressed upon the execution of liquid phase oxidation reaction by the synthesis of a carboxyl or a ketone compound without jointly using alkali.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for preparing a catalyst having the following steps 1 to 3: step 1: the preparation of a water-dispersed liquid of a catalyst obtained by carrying Pt on active carbon; step 2: the preparation of an aqueous solution including Bi in an ion state; and step 3: the addition of the water-dispersed liquid obtained in the step 1 to the water solution obtained by the step 2. The preferable method for preparing a catalyst is performed in such a manner that a water solution obtained by the step 2 includes acid selected from acetic acid or nitric acid, in the step 3, the addition is performed in a continuous or divided manner in such a manner that the temperature of the Bi aqueous solution to be subjected to the addition is 10 to 60°C, and the water dispersed liquid of a catalyst carried at a concentration of 4 to 12 mass% at an active carbide in an additive velocity is added for 1 to 10 mL/min for 15 min to 10 hr.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
