An apparatus for decomposing waste refrigerants and solidifying by-products is disclosed. The apparatus for decomposing waste refrigerants and solidifying by-products comprises: a plasma decomposition device for decomposing waste refrigerants by decomposing waste refrigerants through the generated plasma or by plasmafying a gas including waste refrigerants, wherein the waste refrigerants are one or more compounds of a chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), a hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) and a hydrofluorocarbon (HCFC) containing fluorine or chlorine; and a solidification device located at the discharge location of the waste refrigerant gas decomposed by the plasma decomposition device, formed such that the decomposed waste refrigerant gas to be discharged flows therein, and formed such that a metal compound is accommodated therein or is supplied from the outside and the metal compound reacts by contact with the discharged decomposed waste refrigerant gas, thereby generating a metal compound of fluorine or chlorine.
