An analysis unit calculates the frequency of the movement vector detected by the movement detection unit. A frequency map generating unit detects a region including a specific living body part in the intraoperative image on the basis of the frequency calculated by the analysis unit. The present invention can be applied to a CCU or the like of an endoscopic surgical system, for example.
