PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron-conducting polymer that is excellent in adhesion with the coating substrate and forms a smooth film quality as it is low in crystallinity, and does not cause cracking of the film or light scattering, when applied as coated film or antistatic coating.SOLUTION: Such an electron-conducting polymer is produced by chemical oxidation polymerizing a thiophene derivative whose hydrogen atoms at 3- and 4-position of the thiophene are substituted by ether oxygen, in the medium containing acid or salt thereof having an anion having a fluoro group and a sulfonyl group.
