<p>A power receiving facility power factor adjusting system enables the power factor of a power receiving facility to be kept at one or approximately one irrespective of the loaded/unloaded state. The power saving of the power receiving facility is realized, the facility cost is reduced, and the safety and reliability of the circuitry are high. The power factor adjusting system has at least one transformer (2), a high-voltage power feeder (1) connected to the primary side of the transformer and an electric apparatus (6) connected to the secondary side of the transformer. The system is characterized by further having a switch (10) provided between the electric apparatus and the transformer, a low-voltage capacitor (9) provided on the electric apparatus side of the switch, connected in parallel with the electric apparatus, and having a capacitance not exceeding the reactive current of the electric apparatus, an auxiliary low-voltage capacitor (8) connected in parallel between the transformer and the switch and having a capacitance of 10% or less of that of the transformer, and a high-voltage capacitor (7) connected in parallel with the primary side of the transformer and having a capacitance of 10% or less of the net capacitance of the transformer.</p> |
