There is provided an object detection device capable of adjusting a detection area according to an installation environment of the device not only for a wide area and a narrow area but also for a spot area in the intermediate area between them. The object detection device includes an antenna (AT) for radiating a detection wave to the detection area and receiving a reflected wave from an object and adjustment covers (6, 7) for adjusting the shape of the detection area by covering the front of the antenna (AT). As the adjustment covers (6, 7), one of the plurality of adjustment covers (6, 7) is selected for adjusting the detection area into a plurality of different shapes. Here, the detection area can be formed without an unnecessary detection area by using/selecting the adjustment cover (6) having a pair of cut-off portions (63, 63) suppressing the side lobe of the detection wave.
